Hello, is this thing on?

Hello and Ni Hao! My name is Dreama, an American living in Hong Kong. Five years ago, I had no idea that I would be living in Hong Kong. That I would live in Canada during a Pandemic, or that I would be the mama of two babes, and married to a sweet guy from China.

I’m starting this blog to document my life abroad, to share a bit of my family’s blended culture and to have an outlet to share. Living in a foreign country as a stay at home mom can be isolating… especially when it’s a place that still requires masks outdoors. We moved to Hong Kong in October 2021, which means it has almost been a whole year! Previously we lived on Prince Edward Island in Canada for two and a half years. We spent the entire year of 2020 on an Island that was basically cut off from the rest of the world… (not anymore) and now we live in Hong Kong which is kind of cut off from the rest of the world unless you do 7 days of quarantine.

I hope that some of my posts can be helpful to other expats, travelers, stay at home mamas or at least gives my family and friends an idea of what’s going on since 12 hour time differences make connecting a little awkward… but if you ever need to talk at 3am, I am an ideal choice as it’s likely the afternoon here.
